Obituary of Edward L. Chambers

Edward L. Chambers, age 90 of Pennsville died Tuesday June 24, 2014 at the Carney's Point Care Center, Carneys Point. Ed was born in Waynesville, NC on November 24, 1923 and was the son of the late James and Iowa Harrell Chambers. He was a longtime Pennsville resident. Ed was employed as the head inspector of the trim department for the Mannington Mills where he retired in 1986 following 38 years service. He was a longtime member of the Pennsville Church of the Nazarene. His passion was training beagles and hunting rabbits. Survived by his wife of 68 years Hazel L. Ward Chambers, children, Barbara Lee Press (Jack), James Lloyd Chambers (Louise), Cathy Sue Cardamone (Kenneth), Beverly Ann Wood (Pete) and Sharon Kay Sammons (Greg), 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by a brother, Walker L. Chambers, sisters, Walena Parks and Blanche Browning. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday June 27, at the Pennsville Nazarene Church where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service.
