Bette E. Waddington, age 86 of Pennsville went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 18, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County. She was born in Langhorn, PA and was the daughter of the late Herman Earle and Maude Harker Schork and stepfather, William Schork. Bette was a longtime Pennsville resident.
She was employed as a selector for the Anchor Hocking Glass Company in Salem where she retired following 38 years service. She was a 40 year member of the Christian Life Center in Pennsville, and an avid Phillies fan, win or lose. Bette loved to watch he granddaughters play sports and go to their plays and concerts.
Survived by her son, Guy B. Waddington and his wife Dawn of Pennsville and three granddaughters, Courtney, Macey and Blair, stepsister, Patricia Almon of FL
Predeceased by her husband, Gilbert H. "Gibby" Waddington, Jr (1996).
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday May 24, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, Pilesgrove. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
