Florence W. Fithian, 97 of Pennsville passed away peacefully at her home April 18, 2014. Born Feb. 16, 1917 in Chester, PA the daughter of the late William S. Walls, Jr. and Laura (Seaman) Senney. She was raised in Salem by the late Joseph Seeney and Laura Seeney.
Florence enjoyed working in her yard with flowers and roses and loved to go fishing with her husband in the Delaware Bay. She was a devoted homemaker, excellent cook, baker, and enjoyed watching the "Phillies."
She is survived by a son Joseph Jr. (Jean) of Pennsville, a daughter Shirley Hughes of Mtn. City, Tenn., 5 grandchildren, 8 great granchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
The oldest of 12 children, Florence is survived by one sister, Mary Miller, of Salem, a brother Tom Seeney (Louise) of Pennsville, and a brother Ronald (Florence) Seeney of Salem, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by husband Joseph Sr, a daughter "Lolly" Hughes, and a grandson Michael Fithian.
