Jean V. Nelson, age 85 of Stow Creek, went home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2014 at the Inspira Hospital, Elmer. She was born in Pennsville and was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Buckalew Smith. Jean was a longtime Pennsville resident.
Jean retired from teaching doll making. A beautiful artist, lovely mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Nelson, son, Bobby Nelson, 2 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She came from a large family of fourteen children and survived by sisters, Doris Bechtel, and Mary Zane, brothers, Floyd Smith, and Kenny Smith,
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday March 5, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
