Marjorie C. Boody (Gorham), 84, passed away suddenly on Thursday February 27, 2014 after a brief illness. Born in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she moved to Penns Grove, New Jersey at a young age. After her marriage in 1952, she moved to Pennsville where she resided for 57 years. She graduated from Saint James High School in Penns Grove in 1947, and subsequently retired from New Jersey Bell after 35 years of service. Marge was a dedicated member of several volunteer organizations including Meals on Wheels, the Sportsman Club, the Red Hats, Post Cana, and the Salem Oak Singers. She was a very active member of her church where she sang in the church choir and served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. Beloved wife of the late Carl R Boody and devoted mother of Terri, Barbara, Brian (Marie) and Carl (Vallory) and loving grandmother to Kristofer, Jacqueline (Barbara), Nicholas, Danielle, Bridgette and Jeremy (Carl) and two great grandchildren: Tripp and Lilliana. She was predeceased in death by her parents James and Helen Gorham and her beloved brother John (Jack). Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday March 5th from 7-9pm and 9-9:45 am Thursday morning at the Laughery Funeral Home 1 N. Broadway Pennsville, NJ. Funeral Mass will be at the Queen of the Apostles church at 10am on Thursday. Burial will follow at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery in Pilesgrove.
