Jack H. Gillespie, Sr., age 84 of Pennsville died Tuesday February 25, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County. He was born in Pennsville and was the son of the late James H. Gillespie, Sr. and Columbia Johnson Gillespie. Jack was a lifelong Pennsville resident.
He was employed by the DuPont Company starting at the former Plant 1 in Carneys Point, Chambers Works and retiring from the Repauno Site in Gibbstown. He was Korean War Veteran, Member of the Pennsville Moose Lodge 2376, and the DuPont Veterans Association.
Survived by his daughter, Linda J. Skipper and her husband Troy of Pennsville, son, Jack H. Gillespie, Jr., sisters, Cynthia Spall of Penns Grove and Eva Foster of Maryland, 3 grandchildren, Troy, Jr., Lauren and Natasha, 3 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his wife Loretta Ann Kelly Gillespie (2007) brothers, James H. Gillespie, Jr., and Gene Gillespie, sisters, Mary Soloman, and Wilma Keeler.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, Pilesgrove, NJ.
