Regina Nancy (Jean) Schermerhorn, age 80 of Pennsville went home to be with the Lord on Friday January 10, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born in Salem and was the daughter of the late Frank T. and Esther M. Ward Chuchola and was a lifelong Salem County resident. Survived by her children, Linda Robinson and her husband Jim and Stuart Schermerhorn, grandsons, Jim and Brent Robinson and granddaughter Erin Schermerhorn, brother, Ron Chuchola, brother in law, Dan Williams, niece Tracey young (Jim), nephew Dan Williams and his son Morgan. Predecease by her husband Dewey W. Schermerhorn, Jr., (1994), sister, Shirley (2010) She was a member of the St. Georges Episcopal Church, Pennsville a graduate of Goldey-Beacon Business College, Wilmington. She enjoyed belonging to and working with and for the Friends of the Pennsville Public Library. Jean loved her family, nature, bird watching, cooking, gardening, and camping and fishing on her beloved Ocracoke Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
