John Thierjung, 71, formerly of Pennsville, NJ died on his birthday November 15, 2013 in Chesapeake, VA. He was born in Mount Holly, NJ on November 15, 1942 to the late John and Helen (Dawson) Thierjung. He was co-owner of "JOVILE" INC. in Philadelphia, PA until his retirement in 2003. He loved his family and enjoyed laughing. He was known for telling great jokes (even some bad "john" jokes) and liked hearing good ones. He was also a big Philadelphia Eagles sports fan. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Survived by his wife of 15 years Charlynn (Lynn) (Moore) Gilmartin-Thierjung, Daughters, Carolyn Thierjung-Laing (Melanie) AZ, Christine Passalaqua (Matt) NV, Jennifer Thierjung NJ, Donna Buday PA, Step Children Colleen Gilmartin NJ, Peter Gilmartin (Kellie) VA, 4 Granddaughters, Isabella, Grace, Chelsea and Lauren and 4 Grandsons Anthony, Shawn, Dylan and Teddy. Best friend and business partner of "JOVILE" Victor Gornizky. Sisters, Kathy LeGrow (Dave) PA, JoAnn Elvidge (ED) ME, Judie Scharite (Joe) SC, Pat Brunges (Marty) PA.
Predeceased by a sister Helen Thierjung and a daughter Linda Thierjung.
Funeral Services will be private.
