Robert A. Craner, age 71 of Pennsville died Wednesday December 29, 2010 at the Christiana Care Hospital. He was born in Glassboro he is the son of Joseph Morro and the late Ellen Maurer Morro. Robert was a longtime Pennsville resident. He was employed as a boilermaker for the Boilermakers local 13 of Philadelphia and retired in 1998 following 27 years service. He served In the United States Coast Guard from 1958-1962. He enjoyed most in life spending time with his family, boating, selling and working on cars and sold Easter flowers for over 30 years with his best friends Henry & Linda Galloway and Rich & Joyce Milliron. He attended the Sharptown UM Church. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Louise Roberson Craner, son, William J. Craner of Carney's Point, daughters, Tina Fisher and her husband Michael of Pennsville, Terry L. Sorrels and her husband Michael of Pennsville, and Vickie Coulter of Pennsville, sisters, Marjorie Carlson, of Avon Park, FL, and Joanne Leonard of Cape May, grandchildren, Vincent, Christopher, Adam, Kristin, Kyle, Kelsey, Jessica, Jon, Joseph, Mikayla, and Joshua, great grandchildren, Alexis, Anthony, and his dog & best friend Tiffany. Predeceased by a son Ted Craner (1987). Bob was always happy and friendly with everyone he met even throughout his illness nothing got him down. He had a fighting spirit and enjoyed life to the fullest. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday Jan. 3 at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association, 13 Sunflower Ave. Paramus, NJ 07652.
