Edith F. Nixon, age 94 of Pennsville, passed away on February 27, 2013 while surrounded by her loving family at the home of her granddaughter Linda Wolfe in Salem whom she lived with for 4 years. She was born in Salem and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lizzie Leuallen Freas.
Edith worked for Acme Markets until retirement. She enjoyed traveling, casino trips, puzzles, crosswords and being with her grandchildren.
Survived by 5 grandchildren, Robert Earnest of Salem, Rebecca Franklin of Salem, Michael Stockton of Quinton and Harold Stockton of Salem, 7 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She is pre-deceased by her husband Harold Nixon, her son Maurice Stockton, sister, Mary F. Sanderlin and a brother Gilbert Freas.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday March 4, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the East View Cemetery, Salem.
