Katherine Weigel Birch passed away on December 31, 2012 at her home in Pennsville with Sarah, Rachel, and Clarence at her side.
She was born April 24 1921 in Salem, New Jersey the daughter of the late Viola Cox Weigel and Thomas Weigel. Katherine graduated from Salem High School Class of 1939.
Katherine is survived by her sister Sarah Bailey, nephew Noah McLaren and wife Felicia McLaren, great-niece, Rachel Mersing and husband Clarence Mersing of Pennsville, New Jersey, great-niece Jessica McLaren of Elkins, West Virginia, brother, Thomas Weigel and wife Evelyn Weigel of Mannington and good friends JoAnn Hocknell and John Avera of Carneys Point, New Jersey.
Katherine was predeceased by husband, Robert Birch, sister Mildred Peterson, brothers Henry Weigel, Louis Weigel, Norman Weigel, Leslie Weigel, Frank Weigel, and Arthur Weigel.
Funeral services will be private. Katherine will be laid to rest in East View Cemetery, Salem, New Jersey.
