Obituary of David W. Stoms
Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
A much-loved husband, father, son, and brother, David Stoms (affectionately known as Dave), 38, of Middletown, Delaware, was tragically taken from us on November, 3, 2012. He was born on October 7, 1974 in Phoenix, Arizona to Di and Vernon Stoms. At an early age his family moved to Pennsville, NJ where he attended Pennsville Memorial High School. He later moved to Delaware when he met the love of his life. Dave and Fawn were married on May 6, 2000 in Pennsville, NJ, and to this union Alexis, 11, and Chad, 9, were born. Dave was employed at Price Used Cars as the Business Manager since June, 1999. His working relationships were more than just business, they were family. He will always be remembered by them as hard-working, dedicated, and irreplaceable! Dave was very active and his many hobbies included Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; both taking classes himself and teaching the childrens' class which his own kids were a part of, he enjoyed mountain bike riding and road cycling particularly long rides with his wife, hiking with the family, and riding his cherished Yamaha R6 motorcycle. He also enjoyed golf, surfing and shooting at the range when time permitted. He loved his family especially "daddy's little girl Alexis", spending quality time running with Chad, and family outings on Sundays. He loved the Lord and recently reaffirmed his baptism alongside of Fawn. He served as an usher and as a servant for the church. He is survived by Fawn, his loving wife of 12 years who he adored, daughter Alexis Stoms and son Chad Stoms. He also leaves to cherish his memory his mother & father; brothers Tom and Vernon Jr. (North Carolina), sister Christi, mother and father-in-law Demaris and John Hollembeak, sister-in-law Felicia, nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins, aunts/uncles, friends and family. He shared a special relationship with the family dog "Molly." The family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their kind words and prayers through this difficult time. Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM on Monday Nov 12 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Pennsville, NJ where friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will be private.
