Obituary of Charles T. Anderson

Charles T. (Ducky) Anderson, age 61 of Quinton, NJ and West Dover, VT, passed away after a short illness on October 26, 2012. He is the son of Thomas P. Anderson and the late Gladys M. Mitchell, both of Pennsville, NJ. Ducky was an avid fan of all things outdoor. He played and coached with the Rutland, VT Rugby League, and traveled with those teams to Wales and Scotland. He also coached the Swarthmore and Widener University Women's Rugby Teams, as well as coached various youth sports teams in Vermont. He was employed in the food services industry, the owner of Rugger's Tavern in Killington, VT, where he also served on the Killington Ski Patrol and had an opportunity to practice with the U. S. Olympic Ski Team. He was currently employed at The Silo Restaurant in Dover, VT. He was a 1969 graduate of Pennsville High School. In addition to his father, he is survived by siblings Linda Mitchell Waltz (Ken) of Wilmington, DE; Gladys I. Anderson of Quinton, NJ; Barry L. Anderson (Connie) of Pitman, NJ and Patricia M. Anderson of Houston, TX; nephew John Waltz; nieces Sandra Waltz and Nina Anderson and great-niece Jasmine Hulme and great-nephew, Joshua Hulme. He was predeceased by his mother, Gladys M. Mitchell in 2001. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday Oct. 31, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ where friends may call Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Pennsville Township Recreation Department, 9 N. Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070
