Carolyn E. McComb Obituary

Carolyn McComb, longtime resident of Pennsville, NJ, passed away December 5th due to complications of diabetes at the age of 63. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Ellen and George Yedlicka on September 23, 1947, moving shortly thereafter to Woodbury Heights, NJ for her school years. After marriage and starting a family, she moved to Pennsville, New Jersey, for the remainder of her years. She was a loving mother and a great friend to many who knew her.



She is survived by daughters, Michelle McComb and Theresa Matczak, both of West Deptford, New Jersey; Christina Lowry of Indianapolis, Indiana; and 8 grandchildren: Ryan Cooper, Gregg Marcell and Lacy Matczak of West Deptford; Matthew Matczak, serving in the U.S. Navy stationed in Florida; and Brittany, Billy and Casey Lowry of Indianapolis, Indiana. She is predeceased by parents, George and Ellen Yedlicka; sister, Anna Mae Smith; and grandson, Dillon Brainard. Carolyn graduated with a degree from Salem Community College, where she followed a secretarial career working for DiNicola & DiNicola, The Salem Nuclear Power Plant, and Talley Brothers, Inc. in Delaware; as well as enjoying working for Peebles and Cracker Barrel. She was a Master Gardener and had a passion for gardening. She also had a great love for her cats, Kitty Ann, Sunshine and Sam. A Memorial Mass will be held 6:00pm on Monday, December 13th at the Queen of Apostles Church in Pennsville, 391 South Broadway, Pennsville, NJ. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
