Obituary of Florence E. Munyon

Florence E. Munyon, age 94 of Pennsville died Sunday October 14, 2012 at the Southgate Health Care Center. She was born in Winchester, KY and was the daughter of the late Robert and Molly Mosley Lovings. Florence was a longtime Pennsville resident. She was employed as a head cook for the Pennsville Board of Education at the Pennsville Elementary School where retired following many years service. During WWII she worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Winchester, KY. She was a longtime active member of the Park Bible Baptist Church, Pennsville. Longtime member of the Eastern Star. Survived by her children Charlene Kerswill and her husband Harry and Charles R. Munyon and his wife Judy, grandchildren, Wade Newsome and his wife Georgette, and Lance Newsome and his wife Michele, Chuck and his wife Andrea, and David Munyon, great grandchildren, Paris and Colton Newsome, Brian Atkinson, Jensen Newsome, and C.J. Munyon. Predeceased by the love her life husband Charles M. Munyon (1987), 8 brothers and sisters. She lived to be a grand old lady and loved telling stories and spending time with her family and especially Kentucky Derby Parties. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown.
