Beatrice A. Keen, age 89 of Vineland and a former longtime resident of Pennsville died Friday October 5, 2012 at the Millville Center-LTC. She was born in Penns Grove and was the daughter of the late Irving and Ella Hancock Whitesell.
She was a longtime active member of the Pennsville Church of the Nazarene where she was church organist for many years. She worked at the former Pinebrook Christian Bookstore in Pennsville. She enjoyed Crocheting afghans for family and friends and reading Christian novels.
Survived by her sons, David and Donald Keen and a daughter Elizabeth "Betty Lou" Turner, brother, Samuel Whitesell, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Edward H. Keen, IV (2011), sister, Grace Banks, and a brother, Robert Whitesell.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday at the Pennsville Church of the Nazarene where friends may call from 11:00 to 12:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery.
