Eleanor T. Pawling age 88 of Pennsville went to be with the Lord on Thursday August 9, 2012. Eleanor was born in Lykens, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late Walter C. and Bertha M. Horley Trout. The family moved to the Salem County area to run the family business, Trout's Candy Store in Penns Grove. Eleanor was a longtime active member of Deepwater United Methodist Church. She spent many years working at the Holiday Inn in Carney's Point and was a volunteer for the Salem County Meals on Wheels and the Inter Faith Care Givers. Survived by her two daughters, Sherry A. Hoyman and her husband William of Cape Coral, FL and Donna J. Brewster of Pennsville, sister Betty Sniadowski of Wilmington, DE, grandchildren, Brittany Madden (Kenard), Bret Hankins, Lauren Hogan (Brian), Julie Brewster, Phillip Brewster, Kimberly Hall (William) and Douglas Pawling (Angela), 7 great grandchildren, Step daughter-in-law, Patricia Pawling and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband James M. Pawling, son-in-law John Brewster and stepson Douglas Pawling. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday August 14, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the services. Burial will follow at the Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Deepwater United Methodist Church, Po Box 117Deepwater, New Jersey 08023.
