Walton L. Gibson, III age 53 of DuQuion, IL died Saturday June 2, at the St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington, DE. He was born in New London, Ct. and is the son of Anna M. Ledger Spargo and the late Walton L. Gibson, Jr. Walt was a 1976 graduate of PMHS and has been a resident of DuQuion for the past 25 years. He was formerly employed for Godfrey Marine in Benton, IL for many years as a marine fabricator. He enjoyed life and everything centered around his two sons. He was an avid movie collector. Besides his mother he is survived by two sons Christopher and Walton L., IV of DuQuion, IL, Brother, Brandon L. Gibson and his wife Loriann, of Stow Creek, NJ, sister, April A. Luciano and her husband Jim of Pennsville, paternal grandmother, Lillian Gibson of Pennsville, stepfather, John M. Spargo of Pennsville, and nieces, Jennifer, Toni, and Jamie Luciano. A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM on Thursday June 7, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 6:00 to 7:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will be private.
