Opal Marie Garrison, 87 of Pennsville, NJ went home to be with the Lord on May 15, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Ragland, WV, daughter of the late Chris & Ella (Vernatter) Chafin. She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar H. Garrison, son Larry G. Garrison and granddaughter Dawn M. Harberson. She was the last sibling of eleven brothers and sisters. Opal is survived by her beloved daughter, Marlene E. Brubaker, Pennsville, NJ. Grandson, Robert C. Brubaker, his wife (Valerie), & their daugher (Evelyn) of West Chester, PA. Grandson, Barry C.H. Brubaker and Erica Keeley & their sons (Aden & Ian) of Carney's Point, NJ. Grandaughter, Bridget M. Brubaker of Wilmington, DE. Opal was a longtime Pennsville resident. She retired from Anchor Container Corp.,Salem, NJ in 1987. Her favorite moments were spent with her family and friends, especially watching her great grandchildren play. Opal's faith, love and devotion to God truly defined her life and inspired us all.. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her services at Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ. Viewing will be held Sunday, May 20, 2012 between 7:00-9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Eglington Cemetary, Clarksboro, NJ.
