Helen Urban Humanick, 86 of Media, PA formerly of Pennsville, NJ died on Saturday April 14, 2012 at Riddle Village Retirement Community where she had been a resident for nearly four years. Recently, she had been in failing health. Mrs. Humanick was the beloved wife of the late Peter J. Humanick who died May of 2006. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Urban (Szymal). Mrs. Humanick lived most of her life in Pennsville, NJ. She graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girl's High School Philadelphia, PA, class of 1943. She worked as an engineer drafts person in Philadelphia prior to marrying Peter J. Humanick on July 29, 1961 at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Philadelphia, PA. Throughout her life she volunteered in various capacities, including Queen of the Apostils Church where she was a devoted member. Surviving is her son Steven D. Humanick and his wife Patricia J. Humanick of Swainton, NJ, and three grandchildren, Reagan, Sophie, and Amelia. She was predeceased by her daughter, Michelle E. Humanick (2010), brother, Joseph Urban and sister Eleanor Geisz. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass Thursday, April 19 at 10AM at Queen of Apostils Church 391 South Broadway Pennsville, where the family will receive friends Thursday from 9 to 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Salem, NJ.
