Emma Doris Corson, age 89 of Pilesgrove died Sunday March 25, 2012 at the Christiana Care Hospital. She was born in Salem was the daughter of the late Charles and Louise Griscom Toulson. She was a lifelong Salem County resident. She was employed in housekeeping for the Memorial Hospital of Salem County where she retired in 1985 following many years. Member of the Daughters of America, XYZ Senior Citizens Club, Pennsville, Pairs and Spares Club, of Alloway, member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Elsinboro and TOPS of Carneys Point YMCA. Survived by her daughter Charlene Etherton of Quinton, grandchildren, Trudy Layton and Husband Robert of Pilesgrove, Robert Etherton, Jr. and wife Tina of Stow Creek, great grandchildren Rachel Layton, Courtney Etherton, Coleby Etherton, Travis Layton, and Justin Layton. Predeceased by her husband Roger Corson (1992), sister, Joyce Canatelli and a sister that died as an infant June Toulson. Emma and her husband Roger enjoyed their early years spending weekends in Wildwood and their later years at the trailer near Rehoboth Beach, DE. Emma enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday March 29, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Burial will be at the First Baptist Cemetery, Salem.
