Doris L. Hill, artist, married 57 years to William Hill of Pennsville found rest Monday, February 27, 2012., Born in Cambridge, Maryland, to Norman Abbott and Anna Hubbard Abbott in 1933. Doris was a past president of the Salem Women's Club. For 52 years, an exhibitor of paintings and crafts at the Salem County Fair, she also did silverwork, collected dolls, and wrote poetry. She was a 36 year member of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts. She is survived by her brother William Abbott of Millville, sister, Jean Chew of Pennsville, daughter, Linda Chance of Philadelphia, son David of Trenton, and many other loving relatives.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Friday March 2, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the East View Cemetery, Salem.
