Obituary of Sandra J. White

Sandra J. White (Ruttan), age 58 passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Sandi was born in Burlington, Iowa, raised in Salem, NJ, and lived all her adult life in Pennsville, NJ. She was the daughter of William (Bill) Johnson (Ginger) and the late Ruth Imogene Johnson. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas W. White; children: Sherri (Ecret) Staring (Ron), Richard M. Ecret, Jr. (Renay), Tim White (Renee), Nicole (White) Ruhl (Brian); grandchildren (aka Meme's Kids) Drew and Marissa Staring, Kyle, Austin and Breanne Ruhl, and her special dog Bozwell. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: John Hall, Diane Hunter, Kenneth Sherburne (Beverly), Toni Ruttan (Greg), Arlene Waddington (David), and Jackie Neilson (Gary). In addition to her mother she was predeceased by her sister Brenda Ruttan. Sandi is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sandi was a graduate of Salem Community College and was a devoted employee of the Memorial Hospital of Salem County for the past 32 years where she managed the Physical Therapy Department along with their outpatient offices. She was a giving and loving person that devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and family. Sandi enjoyed traveling, vacationing at the beach with her grandchildren and yard sales with her best friend Linda. A memorial service to celebrate Sandi's life will take place January 29, 2012, beginning at 11a.m. at the Sportsmen's Club in Carney's Point, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested gifts be made in Sandra's memory to support the Lung Cancer Program at Penn Medicine.
