Esther Mae Chuchola, nee: Ward, age 97 of Pennsville went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 11, 2012 at the Southgate Health Care Center. She was born in Penns Grove, NJ and was the daughter of the late Charles and Emma Holmes Ward. Ester was a lifelong Salem County resident.
Survived by her children, Regina "Jean" Schermerhorn and Ron Chuchola of Pennsville, grandchildren, Linda Robinson (Jim) of Pennsville, Tracey Young (Jim) of TN, Stuart Schermerhorn of Pennsville and Dan Williams of FL, great grandchildren, Erin Schermerhorn, Jim Robinson, and Brent Robinson of Pennsville and Morgan Williams of FL, son-in-law, Dan Williams of Pennsville. Predeceased by her husband Frank Chuchola (2007), daughter, Shirley Williams, sisters, Mary Edwards, Florence Hyson and Virginia DeGennaro. Esther enjoyed cooking, crocheting, camping and surf fishing on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Funeral services will be private. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
