Robert A Simpkins – age 91 of Pennsville passed away Monday peacefully at home with his wife Judith (Ritenour) of 71 years by his side. He was the son of the late James C. and Flora Messick Simpkins. Robert, (Bob) served in the National Guard. He worked for Gaynor Glass until they closed and retired from the Pennsville Township. Bob enjoyed gardening, wood working and made special wood pieces for each of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his wife Judy: four children, Robert A. Simpkins, Jr, (Florida) Judith Simpkins Murray and husband Kim (Reading, PA), Barbara Simpkins Shute, and domestic partner Mark Boulden of Pennsville, and Daniel Simpkins of Penns Grove. 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Robert is predeceased by his brothers James C. Simpkins, (Elsinboro), Elial "Sonny" Simpkins, (Florida) sisters, Lida Whitfield, Bessie Livingston, Billie Holtz and Dorothy Gannon.
Graveside burial will be on Friday, December 13th @ 11:00 at the Salem County Veteran's Cemetery, Pilesgrove.
