Anita P. Parham Obituary

Anita Paulette Parham, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024 in Carneys Point, New Jersey after a 6 year battle with Parkinson's. Up until the end, Anita maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty, love of family and friends, and expressed gratitude for her long life, full of wonderful and varied experiences. Anita's life can best be encapsulated by five "F" words: Family, Friends, Faith, Food and outright Fabulousness. In her 76 years here with us, she experienced an abundance of each. Born on June 1, 1948, Anita was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina with her two sisters, Charlene and Cynthia, and brother Michael, all deceased. She spent her life between North Carolina, The Bronx, Staten Island, and New Jersey. Anita worked for New York State at 270 Broadway, where she retired early to focus on being a full time parent. She was a dedicated parishioner of St Adalberts Church where she attended mass every Saturday at 5pm. Anita loved traveling every summer where she camped at various locations with her children and husband. Closer to home, she enjoyed a good Lifetime movie, a KitKat or five and a 3 course homemade family dinner every night. Anita was a devoted mother of 11. She always said they changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided. Anita was preceded in death by her devoted husband Alexander Parham and daughter Tarra Parham and her radiant spirit and legacy is carried on by her 10 children, and 7 grandchildren, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.'
