John W. Starcevich

1962- 2024

On Friday, June 21, 2024, with his loving family by his side, John W. Starcevich (62), of Pennsville, NJ, passed away peacefully at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, John was the son of the late John A. Starcevich and Roberta J. (Kolowitz) Starcevich. In 1972, John's family moved to Pennsville, NJ. In 1980, John graduated from Pennsville Memorial High School. After high school, John went to work at PSE&G. Following 37 years of service in 2017, John retired as a Senior Planning Supervisor.

John is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathleen (Mahoney), his three sons; John J. (Amanda), Jeffrey, and Joseph; as well as his sister, Nancy Gunning (Donald). John was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Ann and Denise Starcevich. With the addition of John Beau Starcevich in May 2024, John was a newly proud "Pop-pop."

Known locally for his cooking, John was a fantastic chef and loved to share his passion with family and friends. John was an avid Nascar, Giants/ Yankees fan, and loved to torment Eagles fans.

Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 6-8pm, at Laughrey's Funeral Home- 1 N. Broadway, Pennsville, NJ. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 10am, at St. Gabriel the Archangel Corpus Christi Church- 369 Georgetown Rd, in Carneys Point, NJ, with burial at Lawnside Cemetery- 1017 Harding Hwy, in Woodstown, NJ.
