Anthony S. Greco, Jr. Obituary

Anthony "Tony" S. Greco, Jr. 62, of Pennsville, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 29th. He is the son of Ethel Mae Greco and the late Anthony S. Greco, Sr. of Pennsville.

Tony lived most of his life in Pennsville, where he was an auxiliary police officer at one point for about a year, he worked for Mannington Mills, but mostly spent his occupation as a member of the Pennsville Township for over twenty years.

Tony had an extreme love for history. When he was little, he would always play with his army men and set them up around the house, making sure no one touched them. He continued that passion as he grew older with his love for Gettysburg, PA. Where he would take his family on many trips to see the battlefield. His favorite spot was "Little Roundtop" where he loved to look over and see the history and tell his children about everything. Even if they heard it so many times, they always listened to his stories.

Tony used to play baseball when he was younger, and he was the pitcher. He continued that passion of throwing a ball around with his daughter, Erin and taught her how to play the game. He even was a coach for the Penguins baseball team with the Pennsville Little League. This was a passion they both shared together for six years.

Tony also loved to fish and would take his children, and his grandchildren, fishing when he could. He also had many fishing times with his father over the years as well.

Tony was the father of Erin R. Parten (father-in-law to Joe A. Parten) and Joshua M. Greco (future father-in-law to Rachel Mason). He was a grandfather to ten grandchildren, Gabriel, Ayden, Lily, Angelo, Dominic, Kolson, the late Rashel, Jolene, Josephene, and Little Joe.

Tony had three sisters and three brother-in-laws Vicki Stites (late husband Paul Stites) , Valerie Shannon (husband Donald Shannon) and Vonnie Kite (husband Stan Kite III). Who all helped him over the years and cared for their baby brother as much as they could until his passing. A family bond that has always been there for each other.

Tony has had many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, where he treated them like his own children and always was there for them as much as he could, being their "Uncle Tony".

Tony had a really rough life, but always made sure to know the people around him were loved and cared for as much as he could give. He was the type of person that would do anything for his family and even his friends. He will truly be missed by people that have known him and by his family.
