Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of Mabel Elizabeth Stewart, 82, of Carneys Point NJ. Mabel, known by her siblings as Doll, passed away on March 10, 2024 in Christiana Hospital.

Mabel is survived by her devoted husband, E. Gene Stewart, formerly of Salem NJ. Still best friends after 48 years, Mabel and Gene could often be seen holding hands while they walked together, or still looking into each other's eyes with that deep love that can only be earned through a lifetime of shared happy times. They could be seen together every Wednesday for their breakfast date at the bagel shop or going to Ron's for a shared cheesesteak with a side of her favorite hot peppers.

Mabel's family meant everything to her. She loved spending time with family and often told stories of proud moments or funny times and conversations she had with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters Lisa Martin (Tim) and Pamela Kraemer (Billy) her stepson Greg Stewart (Madalena) and her stepdaughter Michele Galati, her stepdaughter-in-law Cindy Stewart, her grandsons Scott Kraemer (Karis) and Christopher Kraemer, step-grandchildren Kourtnay Loughin (Matt), Amanda Ventura, Jon Galati, Cheyenne Stewart, Savanah Stewart, Alayna Galati, and great-grandchildren Maeve Kraemer, Mackenzie Loughin, Ashlynn Loughin, Hunter Loughin, Michael Ventura, and Gemma Ventura, and sister-in-law Frances (Fritz) Morris.

Mabel is pre-deceased by her parents, Lewis and Dora Morris, her stepson Ed Stewart, her brothers Lewis and Ralph, and her sisters Dorothy and Edna.

Mabel was born and raised in Elsinboro, NJ, and attended high school in Salem.

Mabel worked for DuPont Chambers Works and traveled to Buffalo NY and Corpus Christie TX to teach computer classes for the company. She was amazing at crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune.

A Memorial Service will be held at Laughrey's Funeral Home, Pennsville NJ on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 2 PM. Family and friends can pay their respects starting at 1 PM.
