Kenneth A. Elmer (Ken) age 81 years old. Pennsville, NJ, departed this earth on March 12, 2024 at his home of 54 years, surrounded by his family. With heavy hearts and sadness that we said goodbye to our beloved husband of 62 years to wife, Barbara Elmer, daughters, Michele Wilson and Cris McGuire after a courageous battle with cancer. Ken was a true gentleman and loved by those who knew him including his family, friends, golf buddies and extended family. A gathering for family and friends will be held at a future date. Kenneth A. Elmer was born in Bridgeton, Nj to Glendon and Ruth (Manning) Elmer on July 6, 1942. He went to Salem High School and graduated in 1960. He worked as a Millwright and Ironworker for 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, especially going to the beach, golfing and home improvement projects. Ken is survived by his wife, Barbara (Woconish) Elmer of Pennsville, NJ, daughters, Michele (Elmer) Wilson, (Jack) Christine (Elmer) McGuire, (John Drenik), grandchildren, Lindsay (Wilson) Saunders (Logan), Devon (Wilson) Smith, Erin (Wilson) Widmaier, (Butch), Nick Elmer, Chris Elmer, Anthony Dino, and Ryanne McGuire, great grandchildren, Luke, Jake, Cole and Graham Saunders, Dylan, Colin and Jack Smith. Brothers, Glen Elmer (Carol), Tim Elmer (Cathy), Wayne Elmer (Linda), Sister in laws, Janet Streets, Terry Elmer, Ann Chevreuil and Georganna Chevreuil. Many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Glendon Elmer, mother, Ruth (Manning) Elmer, son Ken Elmer (Stephanie Lawler) brothers, Bob Chevreuil, George Chevreuil and Carl Elmer. Father-in-law, Stan Woconish, mother-in-law, Bea Woconish and sister-in-law, Pat Cummings. Ken will be missed by his loving family and friends and all that knew him as a true gentleman, kind and caring deeply about those he crossed paths with over the years. The family would like to express our true appreciation for the love and support we have had through this very difficult time.
