Gail Ann Blakeslee Nugent, age 71 of Pennsville, NJ, died Saturday, December 30, 2023 after a valiant fight to recover from a sudden heart attack. She was born in Trenton, NJ to Richard J. Blakeslee and Jean L. Walker/Blakeslee. After graduating from Holy Cross High School, she married the love of her life, Jack E. Nugent, in 1971, lived in Burlington County, and then moved to Pennsville where they had twin boys, Jeremy & Tim, and have been blessed with 52 & a half years together.

Gail worked as a pharmacy tech at Kurland's Pharmacy in Pennsville, and was the billing/collections coordinator before retiring from Wire-Pro, Inc. in Salem. However, the job she loved the most, and was the ABSOLUTE BEST at, was being the most amazing Wife, Mother, & Grammy there could ever be. She will be forever missed and in our hearts, but we find comfort knowing she is at peace being reunited with her beloved son & parents.

Gail is survived by her husband, Jack E. Nugent, her son, Timothy S. Nugent & his wife, Melanie, her grandchildren, Trent D. Nugent, Jordan D, Mitman, Victoria Gail Nugent, Dorothy E. Nugent, Cole F. Nugent, Mollie E. Nugent, & MacGyver Jack Nugent, great-grandchildren Jackson Nugent & Kellen Nugent, her sister Lynne & her husband George Kuffner, her brother Rick Blakeslee & his wife Berta, her stepsister Eileen & her husband Jim Eller, her nieces & nephews Amy Vandertuyn, Jason Vandertuyn, Kevin Kuffner, Todd Kuffner & his wife Marie-Jose, Matt Eller & his wife Becca, and many great nieces & nephews. Gail is predeceased by her parents, Richard J. Blakeslee & Jean L. Walker/Blakeslee, her sister-in-law, Cathy Vandertuyn, and her son – who she loved more than life, Jeremy F. Nugent.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 5, from 7-8:30pm, at the Laughrey Funeral Home in Pennsville, NJ. A Catholic funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 6, from 10-11 at the St. Gabriel the Arch Angel Parish in Carneys Point, NJ.
