Barbara A Pennington of Pennsville NJ, passed away November 6th, 2023 at the age of 86.
Over her long life she blessed us with her many talents from playing the church organ as a little girl to knitting, cooking & baking, making wedding cakes, and of course, toll & oil painting.
To visit her at her home was to know her-
Beyond her garden fence was her little oasis where everything grew especially well, and she spent hours enjoying the flowers and her fish pond.
She was married for 60 years to her husband, Kenny, and their home was an art gallery of her paintings & crafts and his woodworking. Decorating was a passion and she went all out for each holiday, especially Christmas.
You never needed an appointment to stop in, and she never let you leave empty handed.
Memories of her will always include her dancing in the kitchen with her Mardi Gras beads- jazz on the radio and wine in hand. Wherever she was, she was ready for a fun time.
Her friends and family will remember her for her lively, indomitable spirit, her smile, her laugh and her love for life.
She is predeceased by her parents, William & Erma Reed, her husband, Kenny Pennington, her son Michael Pennington and Grandson Scottie Pennington
She leaves behind her sister Rhonda Bonvetti (Bob), her brother William Reed, her sons Jay Pennington (Peggy) and Bob Pennington (Rhonda), her daughter Kimberly Roberts (John), her grandchildren Dana Dempsey, Donna Potts, Tara Pennington, Jenna Wills (Sean), Kristen Gregor (Alex), Heather Altemus (Justin), and Nicholas Roberts, and her great grand children, Ethan, Aubrey and Everett Wills, and Calvin and Elsie Gregor.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Pennsville Park & Recreation
