Sarah Hurley Cooksey, age 88 of Pennsville, NJ passed away on Tuesday, November2, 2010 at the Christiana Medical Center. Born in Elliott, Maryland, to the late Lester and Mattie Stack Hurley. Sarah was a longtime Pennsville resident. She is survived by her husband of 71 years , William C. Cooksey, 3 children, John B. Cooksey, his wife Karen and Sally MacDonald of Pennsville, NJ and Billie Cooksey of Mantua, NJ Sarah enjoyed the company of her seven grandchildren and their families, Billie Carberry, Les MacDonald, Marlo Messick, Donald Maconi, John Cooksey, Kirk Cooksey and Will MacDonald, and 13 great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending winters in Fort Myers Beach, FL, shuffle boarding, and the horse races. She was an active member of Daughters of America for many years. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the St. George's Cemetery, Pennsville. Please no flowers are requested.
