Johnny C. Greene

October 31, 1948 - July 20, 2023

Johnny Clyde Greene, age 75, beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Friend to all and the best Pop-Pop in the world, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 20, 2023

Johnny, affectionately known as Dad, Pops, or Pop-Pop, grew up in Kingsport, TN to the late John and Jimmie Lee Greene, where he met his wife, Virginia. The family settled in Pennsville where he made many friends who became family.

Dad retired as an electrician from IBEW Local 934 with many years of service. After retirement, you could find him hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was an active member of the Mannington Gun Club. Dad loved hosting Septemberfest and you could always count on him to help a friend or family in need. The family enjoyed many Sunday dinners gathered around the table. His pride and joy were attending many sporting events of his grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, Evan and Lily (Michael).

Dad is survived by his loving wife, Virginia, Sons John (Ann), Aaron (Jennifer, and daughter, Liza. His 1st great-granddaughter to be born in the Fall. He leaves behind his siblings, Eddie, Dwight (Phyliss), Cathy, Gayle, and Becky. Dad was pre-deceased by brother, Gary and sister, Linda. He also leaves behind many family members in Tennessee.

There will be no funeral arrangements.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The next time you go fishing, hunting or having a cold glass of sweet ice-tea, think of Dad. He will be greatly missed by all.
