Rosemarie B. Liebeknecht, 93, of Pennsville, NJ died on 6-20-23.
Born in Maple Shade, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. S. and Rose Barlow. She has been a resident of Pennsville for the past 63 years. Mrs. Liebeknecht was a graduate of Morrestown High School. She was a member of the Women's Club of Grove City, PA. She was a member of St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church and a member of Queen of the Apostles before their merger, where she served as a Eucharist Minister since 1980 and was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society. She was the first president of the Parent and Teachers Association of the Valley Park Elementary School and started the school fair with amusement rides in 1971. She was a member of the NJ Osteopathic Auxiliary.
Mrs. Liebeknecht was an avid bridge player and was a member of several bridge clubs.
Surviving is her husband of 74 years, Dr. Charles L. Liebeknecht of Pennsville; three daughters, Pamela A. Corman (Dan) of Superior, NE, Tina M. Rohrs (Kirby) of Lincoln, NE, Anne L. Ellery (Eric) of Kingsport, TN, one son, William B. Liebeknecht (Karen) of Audubon, NJ, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one sister, Catherine Courtney of Maple Shade, NJ. She was predeceased by a son, Charles H. Liebeknecht, brothers Thomas J. S. Barlow and James L. Barlow and sisters Marie Watson and Annie Di Domenico.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 Noon on Monday June 26th at the St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish/ Corpus Christi Church, 369 Georgetown Rd. Carneys Point, NJ where friends may call from 10:00 to 12:00 PM prior to the Mass. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown, NJ.
