John F. Bracelin, age 94 of Pennsville, NJ passed away peacefully on May 21, 2023. Born in Phoenixville, PA. He was the son of the late John James and Katherine Elizabeth (Custer) Bracelin. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserves for 42 years. He retired from DuPont Chambers Works after 40 years.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. He was a huge WW II history buff and read extensively on the subject. He also loved sports especially the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, and the Flyers.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased in death by his sister Margaret M. (Bracelin) Stanley, nephew Kenneth A. Stanley and great nephew James Patrick Stanley. He is survived by his loving sister Mary E. Bracelin, Nephew James P. Stanley (Peggy), Laura Stanley suviving wife of deceased Nephew, Kenneth Stanley), Nieces Mary Mahala (John), Kathleen Troth (Mike), Patricia Bedwell; 7 great nieces, 4 great nephews and 18 great, great nieces and nephews.
John was a member of St. Garbiel the Archangel Parish, Corpus Christi Church. He was a former Lector at Queen of Apostles church, Pennsville, NJ.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday May 25th at the St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, Corpus Christi Church, 469 Georgetown Rd., Carneys Point, NJ 08069 where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the Mass. Burial will follow at the St. Marys Cemetery, Salem, NJ.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to St. Gabriel the archangel Parish 369 Georgetown Rd., Carneys Point, NJ 08069 or a charity of your choice.
