Gail Alliegro (nee Winterling) "Gig" 1948-2023

On Wednesday May 17, 2023, Gail Alliegro, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, left this world after a long illness.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Michael, son Jesse (wife Lara), her three grandchildren who were the light of her life, sisters Lucy and Pat, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She worked for nearly 50 years at Child, Inc of Wilmington, Delaware, where she touched many lives with her passion, dedication, and kindness.

Gail was an avid traveler and cook. She shared an affinity for birdwatching with her devoted husband Michael, and loved exploring the wildlife refuges, marshes, and nature of south Jersey. Verified "river rats," they spent 47 years enjoying the beauty of their home on the Delaware River.

A memorial celebration will be held on Sunday, June 25th at the Salem County Sportsmen's Club at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
