Glendon W. Lodge Obituary

Glendon W. Lodge, Jr., 42, of Pilesgrove passed away Saturday, October 15th in Wilmington, DE of complications from a stem-cell transplant. Born in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of Glendon W. Lodge, Sr. and Libby Harris. He was raised in Pennsville where he graduated from Pennsville Memorial High School in 1987. During his senior year of high school he was awarded the MVP Award from the United States Army National Soccer Coaches Associations of America and the Philadelphia Inquirer Soccer Player of the Year. He attended Springfield College in Massachusetts earning sports medicine and health administration degrees. Glen will always be remembered as a loving son, father, husband, brother, friend, and coach. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Danine and his sons Jacob and Trevor of Pilesgrove; his mother Libby Harris of Pennsville; his father Glendon W. Lodge, Sr. and step-mother Patti of Woodstown; his brother Gregory Lodge and wife Joanie of Pilesgrove; his step-brothers Seth Lowenberger and wife Melanie of Summit, NJ; Aaron Lowenberger and wife Amanda of Arlington,VA; and Joshua Lowenberger of Rochester, NY; and four cousins, five nieces and five nephews. He was predeceased by his paternal and maternal grandparents and two aunts, Susan Burse and Barbara Harris.



Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be sent to the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19813.
