I feel extremely blessed to have had my parents and my aunts and uncles as role models when growing up. Faith, love, dedication to family, God, marriage and their careers was always evident. Uncle Tom was definitely an example of "The Greatest Generation". He loved his beautiful wife (my mother's baby sister) with all his heart for 67 years and shared that love with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Uncle Tom made each of us feel special and smiles and great stories were part of all visits. My mother having lost my Dad found great comfort in enjoying "lunch dates" with Aunt Mary and Uncle Tom. Hugs and prayers for all who will miss him so much.

I was deeply saddened, as well as the rest of the of the Rhinehart family of Frederick Rhinehart, to hear the news of Uncle Tom’s passing today. There are so many great memories and times we have shared together, Christmas being the most special of all. It was not Christmas unless dad took us to the house to see the trains around the Christmas tree every year. I’m glad and blessed dad took me and then I was able to pass that tradition onto my two sons and make it a tradition for 3 generations of Rhinehart’s to see them. I’m glad we got to see them this past Christmas as the boys still marvel about them as I did at 4 or 6 yrs old. Uncle Tom was always a hit at the Memorial Day picnics at our house with his wit and wisdom and telling a Korean War story or two. Uncle Tom always amazed me with his physical fitness and staying in shape and always enjoyed joking with him about who could outdo each other in push-ups or pull-ups. Uncle Tom will be well greatly missed. Aunt Mary our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
