Obituary of Edna M. Cordwell

Please share a memory of Edna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beautiful and loving Mother Edna Mae (Maggie) Cordwell passed away on Jan 12, 2023 at the age of 78. She was wonderful Mother and Grandmother who was always there when we needed her. Maggie was well loved and will be missed terribly. She was a longtime resident of Pennsville, born in Salem NJ. She was the daughter of the late James Gaddy and Elizabeth Funkhouser. Besides her parents Maggie was predeceased by her husband James Cordwell, her sisters Martha Gehrke and Patricia Fillez, her brothers James Gaddy and Donald Gaddy. She is survived by her daughters Rhonda Reis Gresk, Sheli Steiner, her husband Jeff, and son Brian Cordwell. Grandchildren Megan, Sara, Connor, Jack, Lucas and Joey. Maggie was the owner of Riverview Pool Supplies for many years then becoming an Accounts Payable associate with Port Contractors. Most will remember her as a sales associate for Peebles Department Store. Maggie was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved being Nanny to her grandchildren. She always had a smile on her face and was a friend to everyone she met. A celebration of life for Maggie will be held 2:00 PM Sunday February 19th at the Sakima Country Club, 282 Shell Rd, Carneys Point, NJ 08069 www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
