Jack A. Batezel, age 53 of Penns Grove and a former Pennsville resident died Sunday October 9, 2011 at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County. He was born in Salem and was the son of the late Donald A. and Shirley A. Doughty Batezel. He was currently employed for the Economy Recovery Conservation Company, Penns Grove for the past 10 years, and a social member of the Penns Grove VFW Post 8840. Jack was an Avid fisherman and hunter. Survived by daughters Shannon M. Robinson and her husband Derek of LAC, Jamie L. Glaspey and husband Brandon of Everett, WA, siblings David Batezel of Hartley, DE, Donna Hannah and her husband Charles "Butch"of Scio, NY, Sharon Work and her husband Brian of League City, TX, Susan Barber and her husband Jim of Aiken, SC, Jeffrey Batezel of Townsend, DE and Jennifer Batezel of Salem, grandchildren, Amberlyn, Derek Jr., Giuliana, Zachary, Cheyenne, and Nicholas, good friend, Mary Sanchez. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Jack's Life Friday from 10:00 to 12:00 PM at the Laughrey Funeral Home Pennsville, Pennsville. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to: Jack A. Batezel Memorial Fund, c/o The Bank, 125 Salem-Woodstown Rd. Salem, NJ 08079.
