Terri Lynn Cobb, age 59, of Pennsville passed away suddenly on Monday, January 2, 2023, in the comfort of her home. Terri was born on July 15, 1963, in Mannington Township to Davis and Agnes Poland, both of whom predeceased her. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her loving in-laws Ty and Claire Cobb. A lifelong Pennsville resident, Terri graduated from Pennsville Memorial High School in 1981, and obtained an Associates in Animal Sciences from Camden County College. She is a former employee of DuPont, trained service animals, and spent time as a home health aide. Terri was currently employed by Pennsville Township as the Animal Control Officer and managed Pennsville Animal Shelter. Terri is survived by her high school sweetheart, Charles Cobb, together they shared a love story that spanned 45 plus years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by their two daughters Jessica and Victoria who were her pride and joy, Victoria's fiancé Jeffrey Ayares, sisters Kimberly Lockwood (Gary) and Diana Wells, Aunt and Uncle Wilma and Tony Martinides, Stepmother Mary Poland, nieces Chelsea (Sam), Shaye, McKenna, Dione (Emily), Christy, Sarah (Chris), Michelle, Katelynn, and nephew Bill (Nicolle). She is also survived by her In-laws Debra (Wayne), Judy, Cheryl, Ty, and Jerry (Beth), and Great Aunt Terri to many nieces and nephews. Terri is also survived by her furbabies, Gracie, Luke, Toby, her many kitties, good friends and extended family. Terri deeply loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them shopping, playing games, pool days at the Lockwoods or just hanging at home with Chuck and her girls. She was a true animal lover and dedicated her life to working with animals, Terri was known to take in any stray that needed a home. She eventually turned that passion into a successful nonprofit, Passion4Pets. With the help of volunteers, she worked tirelessly to find furever homes for the homeless, spent many sleepless nights bottle feeding litters of kittens and was working to establish programs for animals in her community. She was often known to arrive with kittens in tow to all the family events. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, beautiful heart, and fun-loving quirky ways. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Laughrey Funeral Home in Pennsville, where friends may call between 10:00-11:00am to pay their respects. The ceremony will take place at 11:00AM. The burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made in honor of Terri to her 501c3 charity, Passion4Pets to keep her passion for helping animals in need alive.
