Obituary of Margaret A. Roberts

Margaret A. (Macturk) Roberts, age 78, went home to be with the Lord October 10, 2011. Born in Salem on September 29, 1933, she was a graduate of Salem High School and a long time resident of Lower Alloways Creek. Peg enjoyed reading, crosswords and puzzles and spending time with her family. Some of her favorite memories were of traveling with her dad when she was a young lady and a road trip through Vermont with her sister Gayle and her family. Peg was pre-deceased by her parents, Mildred "Mickey" (Campbell) Macturk and Theodore M. Macturk, infant daughter Bonnie, ex-husband Earnest Roberts, long time companion Harold J. Williams Sr., and nephew Kevin T. Kline. She is survived by two sisters, Ellamae Kline and Gayle D. Bay, four nieces, Terri L. Girtain (Bill), Deborah A. Timazee, Janet McCann (Douglas), and Kathleen H. Gast, three nephews, Gerald S. Hannagan, Jr., Charles J. Hannagan, and Fremont (Buddy) W. Bozarth and 13 great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 15th at Trinity United Methodist Church at S. Broadway and Church Sts, in Pennsville where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be sent to the LAC, EMS, 8A Pecks Corner Rd., Salem, NJ 08079.
