Obituary of Audrey L. Todd

Audrey Linda Todd, age 69, of Pennsville, NJ died the evening of Monday, November 7, 2022 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. A loving wife and mother, Audrey had lived in the area for over forty years. Audrey grew up in upstate New York, Virginia, and Gloucester County. She graduated West Deptford High School, Class of 1972. In 1977, she graduated from the Licensed Practical Nurse Program at Salem Community College. She worked as an LPN at Elmer and Underwood Memorial Hospitals, working in their Emergency Room and Neurological Floor, before leaving the profession to be a stay at home mother to her four children. Later in life, she worked as a clerk for the US Postal Service at their Swedesboro Distribution Center. Her most important roles in life were that of wife and mother. She was a frequent presence at her children's musical performances, marching band competitions, as well as, scouting and sporting events. She supported them in their studies and enjoyed watching them grow up. Her hobbies included cross-stitch, crochet, movie-going, and an overwhelming interest in documenting the family's history in pictures. From yearly family pictures to insisting on snapping a photo at any dinner, sports event, or holiday, there was no escaping it. Audrey was a fan of country music and made a point of seeing Kenny Chensey, Tim McGraw, and other favorites whenever they were touring. Beyond her family, her true passion was cheering for her favorite Philadelphia sports teams, the Flyers and the Phillies. Audrey was a collector; from Disney memorabilia to snowbabies to Coach bags. Although she had many strengths, cooking wasn't one of them. Her best recipes were meatloaf, beef stew, and hamburger helper. She had Pat's Pizzeria on speed dial. Her family will remember her as a loving supporter, advisor, friend, wife, and mother. Audrey is survived by her children Danielle, Crystal, Curtis and Codie, her cat, Jax and grandpups Chase, Dixie, and Gypsy. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Courter. She is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Melissa Courter, and her husband, James E. Todd Sr. Audrey will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at the LAUGHERY FUNERAL HOME in Pennsville between 11 and 12. Burial will be private. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
