Obituary of Alexander Rivera Gonzalez
Please share a memory of Alexander to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Alexander Rivera Sr. age 46 passed away on March 19, 2022. Alex was born on February 2, 1976 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to Juan Rivera and Virgina Gonzalez. In his short life, he has left such a huge impact on so many people. Alex was a hard working man, a devoted husband and a loving father. He was a lover of all music and always ready for a good time. Alex's smile could light up the room and his presence, although quiet, spoke volumes. Loved ones would refer to him as a "tinkerer" because he took such pride in his home and its exterior appearance. Alex loved to cook and could be found whipping up delicious meals on the grill or in the kitchen. If you were lucky enough to be around for the holidays, you would be excited to have his famous coquito. Some would refer to him as a "gentle giant", while others affectionately called him "The Rock", "A-Rod", or "Alejandro". Alex will be remembered for his big heart, kind soul, and infectious smile. He is survived by his loving wife Ashley B. Rivera of Pennsville; daughter Erica Wright of Plant City, Florida; son Alexander Rivera Jr. of Pennsville; daughter Avella Jade Rivera of Pennsville; parents Juan and Virginia Rivera of Woodstown; brother Nestor (Jill) Rivera of Pennsville; brother Ezequiel Rivera of Woodstown; 2 grandsons Adrean and Xavier of Plant City, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
