Dorothy A. Chafin (August 4, 1934 - January 20, 2022)
Our beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away at 87, peacefully with family by her side on Thursday January 20,2022.
Daughter of the late W. Kempton Whitesall and Dorothy (Counselor) Chambers. Predeceased by her loving husband Dewey
Chafin and sister Patsy K. Hires. Survived by her children, Debra (Lawrence) Zimmerman, Don (Michele) Chafin, Terry Chafin,
8 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and sister Lois Simpkins.
Started working at the Riverview Beach Park at 13 where she met the love of her life and started her family. She used to love crocheting, shopping for the perfect housecoat, matching slippers and spending time with her family.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Baptist Cemetery, York St., Salem.
