Obituary of Mona R. Pedrick
Please share a memory of Mona to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mona Reva Pedrick (Beebe), 88, of Millville, NJ, was called home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2022. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Mona was born on March 24, 1933 to Leon Beebe and Lorena Luthy (Andrews). She was a loving and generous woman, extremely sassy and was not afraid to tell it like it is. She attended Salem schools and worked at Heinz Ketchup plant in Salem, NJ for a short period of time. On 9/6/1947, Mona married Leonard C. Pedrick Sr. in Salem and went on to build a home in Pennsville (Glenside) where she raised her six children, four girls and two boys.
In her earlier years, Mona enjoyed bowling, fishing with her husband, and playing cards with her cousins. She loved going to Cowtown and hitting all the yard sales. She always enjoyed watching sports on TV. Her favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys and she absolutely loved tennis player, Rafael Nadal. Spending quality time with family and friends and trips to the Old Country Buffet were her favorite, along with a nightly routine of playing the card game, Flinch.
She donated to many causes and always made sure her tithes were paid to give back to the Lord. It was extremely important to her to demonstrate the Bible and to make sure her loved ones were prepared for the Kingdom of Heaven, so that she would be reunited with them once again.
Mona was predeceased by her husband, Leonard C. Pedrick Sr, daughters, Beverly A. Roark and Donna J. Watson, brothers, Leon "Buddy" Beebe, and Robert "Bobby" Beebe, granddaughter, Diana L. Leslie, and grandsons, Michael W. Hitchner Jr and Jacob M. Zanes.
She is survived by her children, Leonard C. Pedrick Jr (Tricia) of Ocala, FL, Lynda B. Hitchner (Danielle & Lindsay) of Pennsville, Kevin S. Pedrick Sr of Carneys Point, and Jacqueline D. Zanes (Jeffrey) of Salem, NJ, and sister, Yvonne Beebe. Mona leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, her dog, Honey, along with many other family and friends whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Friday January 7th at Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown, NJ.
