Leonard Alan "Lenny" Moore age 72 of Pennsville, NJ passed away Saturday December 11, 2021 at the Carneys Point Care Center after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born in Wilmington, DE and was the son of the late Leonard F. Moore and M. Gertrude Long Moore. Lenny was a lifelong Pennsville resident. He was a 1967 graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School and a 1971 graduate of Ursinus College Collegeville, PA with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He retired in 2005 from the DuPont Stine-Haskell Research in agricultural chemicals, Newark, DE. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Katharine Laughrey Moore, sons Eric A. Moore and his wife Debra of, CT and Dr. John O. Moore and his wife Aka of ME, grandchildren, Matt Moore and Finn Moore. He is also survived by his sisters, Bette Moore Rogers of Woodstown, and Lisa Moore Peterson and her husband Tom of, TX, brother-in-law, John D. Laughrey and his wife Deborah, nephews, Robert W. Laughrey and his wife Christine, Cal Peterson, Craig Peterson, Daniel Rogers and his wife Karlee, niece, Amy Laughrey McGovern and her husband Dan, many cousins, and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother-in-law, Gary P. Rogers. Lenny loved baseball and Little League and loved teaching kids the fundamentals of the game. He coached teams for over 30 years, some with his friend John W. Davis and some on his own. When he was not able to coach, he helped cutting grass, field maintenance and anything that was needed to enhance the complex. In the winter months he was an ardent supporter of the Pennsville Memorial High School wrestling program. There will be no services at this time. A celebration and memorial will be held in the spring at the Pennsville Little League, Churchlanding Rd., Pennsville, NJ.
