Obituary of Donna Ann Bruno

Donna A. Bruno passed away suddenly on November 10, 2021 at 78 years of age. Donna was the daughter of Thomas & Leona Kirkman of Renovo, PA. Donna moved to Pennsville in the early 60's with the family. As a stay at home mother, Donna pursued her passion of helping others by receiving her LPN degree in 1978 from Salem Community College and started a career at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County. She furthered her education obtaining her RN degree from Gloucester Community College. She worked at Nursing homes in the area such as Nicholas Nursing and Lindsey House. She further trained for Cardiac care specialist and "cross-over" nursing care. Donna had a smile and kind heart that brightened the room and would help people as they needed. Her laugh is remembered by all. Donna started teaching Sunday School at Trinity United Methodist in the mid 60's then continued helping in other areas within the church. In her later years assisted in the Friday free lunch program. Donna was a fun-loving woman that lived the life she loved. Spending time with family and friends was the delight of her life. The beaches of New Jersey were her happy place, Stone Harbor being her favorite as she had a vacation home there for many years. Donna's hobbies of painting won her many awards, one being first place at the Septemberfest. Surviving Donna are her sisters Janice McCutcheon and Karen Wykoff and her children Cindy Wilson, Tonia Muza - husband David Muza, and son Tom Bruno. Her grandchildren: Thomas Bruno Jr - wife Tanya, Steven Bruno - fiance Kelsa, Ryan Emmons - wife Judy, Joshua Bruno - wife Erin, Stefanie Ward - husband Joseph, Christos Sarmousakis, and Samantha Muza, thirteen great grandchildren and one on the way as well as her nieces and nephews and their families. Donna is predeceased by her parents as well as her sisters Flora Kirkman and Bonnie Reeder. A memorial service will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday December 1, 2021 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Pennsville NJ. Dinner to follow for family and close friends.
