Obituary of Charles Emery

Charles Emery, 87, of Pennsvile NJ died suddenly on October 18th 2021 where he resided with his Daughter an Son-in-Law. Charles was born in Bridgeton NJ to the Late Walt "Bud" Emery and Hazel Haggerty Emery and has resided in Pennsville for the last 12 years. Charles will be remembered as well traveled, committed, and brave. He had lived many places throughout his life. He served in the Army from 1957-1959 where he traveled all over Europe. He mastered many trades throughout his life. To some he was a farmer, rancher, mechanic, and a painter. He loved tinkering with anything mechanical and making birdhouses and many other things in his spare time. He loved his family and will be sadly missed. He is survived by daughters Wanda Emery-Whitesall (Chick), Sandy Walkenhorst (Mike) , a brother Wallace Reeves and his wife Vicky of Theodosia MO, a sister Elizabeth Keen of Pennsville, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Marshall Wayne, brothers Edward Emery, Walter Emery and a sister Sadie Blair. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
